Clay Construction began trading in 1996, becoming incorporated one year later in 1997. Thirteen years later, we have maintained steady growth, with an annual turnover currently in excess of £9 million.
Key activities include new build, alteration and refurbishment mainly in the commercial industrial and health care sectors - either under normal contracting conditions or on a design and build basis. We also undertake larger scale domestic work for selected clients.
Our main geographical area of operation is generally within a 50 mile radius of Huddersfield, but naturally, exceptions to this are both welcomed and accomodated. We have, for example, currently completed converting the former GNER Head Offices in York into a 5 star hotel and spa.
We directly employ all the core trades, and have a regular and reliable pool of sub-contractors for all specialist trades.
